Pull together for the Douglas! All are invited to participate in our annual Tug of War benefitting the Douglas Hospital.
The funds raised allow the Douglas—the largest research centre in mental health in Quebec—to continue its ground-breaking mental health and neuroscience research, to offer first-class care to individuals living with mental illness, and to raise awareness among the public.
Every year at the Montreal Highland Games, the Black Watch challenges all participants to win the Black Watch Challenge Cup.
How can I help?
- Join or start a team! Teams need to be comprised of 8 people plus a captain, and are asked to get sponsorship in support of the Douglas Hospital. No experience necessary—all for fun! For more information or to register, please email our Tug of War Coordinator Gregory Doyle.
- Sponsor a team! If you aren't rooting for a particular team, why not sponsor the St. Andrew's Society team—help the "home team" support the Douglas!
Congratulations to the 2023 winners!
Congratulations to the HMCS Donnacona tug of war team, under the able leadership of their captain Karl-Antoine Usakowski, for their dramatic win of the Black Watch Challenge Cup!
Many thanks to all the teams who participated, and who helped to raise funds in support of the Douglas. Donations are still coming in—it's not too late to support your favourite team!
2023 Tug of War teams
