Join us at this popular event to learn Scottish heavy athletics. At the end of the day, each participant will have their picture taken wearing a kilt while holding a caber!

All participants must register in advance. Monies raised go to the Douglas Mental Health University Institute Foundation.

What if it rains?
In the event of inclement weather, the clinic will be postponed to the next day (Sunday). We will post a notice on this page and email all registered participants to inform them.

JASON BAINES, CLINIC LEADER
Picture
The clinic leader is long-time professional Heavy Weight competitor Jason Baines who has been one of the top professionals in Canada for the past five years. A winner of multiple Highland Games throughout Canada, Jason is also one of the top Scottish Hammer throwers in the world and currently holds the Ontario Championship records in Lightweight for Distance and Heavy Hammer. In addition to Heavy Events, Jason has been a medalist in track and field, including multiple indoor #1 rankings, Canadian Masters Champion and two silver medals in the hammer throw at the 2015 World Masters Championships.
