JASON BAINES, CLINIC LEADER
The clinic leader is long-time professional Heavy Weight competitor Jason Baines who has been one of the top professionals in Canada for the past five years. A winner of multiple Highland Games throughout Canada, Jason is also one of the top Scottish Hammer throwers in the world and currently holds the Ontario Championship records in Lightweight for Distance and Heavy Hammer. In addition to Heavy Events, Jason has been a medalist in track and field, including multiple indoor #1 rankings, Canadian Masters Champion and two silver medals in the hammer throw at the 2015 World Masters Championships. At the 2021 virtual Montreal Highland Games, Jason beat the Guinness World Record for the most number of cabers tossed in one hour! |
